本作は、平成期を代表する怪獣の一体であるガンQを現代のアート表現として再解釈した作品です。
ゼットンと同様に、肖像画を思わせるバストアップ構図を用いて、巨大な眼球と無数の目によって構成されたガンQ特有の異質なシルエットと、鑑賞者を見つめ返す強烈な存在感を際立たせています。
鮮やかなイエローの背景は、ガンQの不気味さや異様さを強調すると同時に、怪獣が長年にわたり愛され続けるポップアイコンであることも表現しています。恐怖と親しみやすさが同居する、平成怪獣ならではの魅力を作品の中に取り込んでいます。
