This work honors the original creator’s genius for blending diverse traits into a single character. By using mirror materials, we visualize the "editing process" of the manga, highlighting Kagura’s multifaceted personality and the interconnected nature of her many sides.
"The heart of Gintama is the ""mash-up,"" a wild blend of elements that generates new value. This artwork evolves that idea using collage—the deliberate deconstruction and rearrangement of unrelated images. By referencing and reconfiguring existing expressions, Gintama creates its own narrative and comedy. This piece makes that creative process visible. It reveals that what we see as a unified image is actually a mosaic of fragments, proving that new meaning is born from the way we choose to combine the pieces."
