22Apr2025 posted. Drooling Fallen Angel. This was the first piece in a planned series capturing various absent-minded expressions. I haven't gotten around to the rest yet, but I'll draw them eventually.
Key features here are the halo composition—designed as if it's about to turn into horns—and how its outer edges anchor the space and layout. For angel and devil illustrations, I often draw the wings on a separate layer in case I make variations later. But when I don't end up doing a variation, all that extra work feels completely pointless...
