The first polygon-based title in the Fatal Fury series, aiming for realistic movements and an immersive presentation by utilizing the specs of the new Hyper Neo Geo 64 arcade board. While being 3D, it reproduced 2D operability and also adopted mid-level attacks unique to 3D. The story background is from the "original Fatal Fury," but characters introduced from "Fatal Fury 2" onwards, such as Mai Shiranui, Kim, and Ryuji Yamazaki, were also playable.
