The converge art piece “Recompile”, a signature technique of GAAAT, reconstructs the key visual of “Ghost in the Shell S.A.C. 2nd GIG” using countless scene stills from within the work. By fragmenting a single original and then “recompiling” it, the intentionally inserted noise expresses the uncertainty of memory and the ambiguous boundary between truth and fake.
