破魔矢をモチーフにしたもので、矢の先端には鏃の代わりに音の鳴る鏑がついています。千鳥のモチーフは好んで採用していますが、このイラストでは折り鶴も舞わせて、キャラクターの超常的な力をイメージしました。先の『花鏡』とあわせて三部作になることが決まり、ポーズ等を対照的にしています。
