GAAAT ARTのシグネチャー的な技法でlupin-the-iiirdのこれまでの軌跡を表現。
劇場版5作品の場面写を詰めたコンバージアートです。
過去作の場面写は、ノスタルジーとしてではなく、ルパンという“変わらぬ個”を際立たせる。
「過去の蓄積を背負いながらも、現在を生きる」というルパンの輪郭はその意思を際立たせるようにはっきりと中心に、背景に滲むムオムは「死を超える存在」の象徴としてその曖昧な輪郭は存在の曖昧さを表現。
本作は、『ルパン三世』新作映画に登場するルパンとムオムという2つの存在を軸に、それぞれの「遺伝」を一つの画面に共存させたコンバージ・アート。
（ルパンは “盗賊”という名と理念を受け継ぎ、ムオムはその対極として、「目的と存在」遺伝）。
また小池監督がモンキーパンチから受け継いだ“物語的遺伝子”を結びつける。
人が何を継ぎ、何を選び取るのか。
本作は、世代を超えて続いてきた“ルパン三世”という系譜の一部として、そして観る者自身にとっての「継承とは何か」を問う作品になればと思っています。
