Knight Laundry

Contrasting themes are a catchy and useful way to create a first impression. We can achieve such an effect using color, light, or even just with the subjects of the painting. Here, I chose to make use of all three elements to create a scene that I hope will pique the interest of anyone that comes across it. What would it be like if a character from the middle ages appeared in the modern era? How would a character with armor and gear from their own time maintain them in our world? I thought it would be interesting for them to be washing their armor, probably incorrectly, in a laundromat. The lighting and colors are also built around this concept, with the character’s bright red hair being highlighted by the sunset.
